The history of Kakkaym valley began with the Malabar migration in the 1940’s. Kakkaym valley rose to prominence in the 60’s with the Kuttyadi hydroelectric project and Peruvannamuzhy dam which are the most important power & irrigation projects in Malabar region. Situated in the foothills of Wayanad on the Western Ghats, Kakkayam valley is surrounded by Malabar wild life sanctuary and two dams namely Kakkayam dam and Peruvannamuzhy dam. Due to its proximity to dams and wild life sanctuaries, Kakkayam valley is known as the Ooty of Malabar and as such offers a host of activities to the thrill seekers like camping, cycling, hiking, trekking, off-roading etc.

b. Cancellation charges as below
a. Cancellation before 15 days of check in date - 40% cancellation fee
b. Cancellation before 7-14 days of check in date – 60% cancellation fee
c. Cancellation within 7 days of check in date – No refund
c. If a guest cancels a confirmed booking, refunds will be made as per the conditions laid out above within a commercially reasonable time (7-10 business days) from the date of cancellation
d. Refund will be made to the same bank account or credit cards as the case may be
Kakkayamvalley base camp reserves the right to cancel any bookings due to any unforeseen circumstances including and no limited to weather. Kakkayamvalley base camp will refund any Payment for such booking to the applicable person within a commercially reasonable time from cancellation (7-10 business days) and the person may receive an email or other communication from Kakkayamvalley base camp containing alternative offers and other related information. If the person requests a booking from one of the alternative offers this will be treated like a new booking.

You acknowledge and agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Kakkayamvalley base camp’s liability arising out of any issues that might happen during your stay at Kakkayamvalley base camp’s premises or while taking part in any activities that is organized by Kakkayamvalley base camp’s, the maximum liability of Kakkayamvalley base camp will be limited to the amount paid by you for the said activity
Any notices or other communications permitted or required hereunder, including those regarding modifications to these Terms, will be in writing and given by Kakkayamvalley base camp via email (in each case to the address that you provide) or by posting to the Site or via the Application. (For notices made by e-mail, the date of receipt will be deemed the date on which such notice is transmitted)
The failure of Kakkayamvalley base camp to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of future enforcement of that right or provision. The waiver of any such right or provision will be effective only if in writing and signed by a duly authorized representative of Kakkayamvalley base camp. Except as expressly set forth in these Terms, the exercise by either party of any of its remedies under these Terms will be without prejudice to its other remedies under these Terms or otherwise. If for any reason an arbitrator or a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the other provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
